The Monticello Cancer Center and New River Medical Center have teamed up to offer cancer support to care for the whole person.
I Can Cope is a Cancer Survivors' Group that meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Monticello Cancer Center. Group members meet to share common concerns and learn from each other as well as experts in nutrition, mind, body and spirit wellness and pain management. The program is free to attend. Look Good...Feel Better is a program sponsored by the American Cancer Society, National Cosmetology Association and the Personal Care Product Council Foundation. This program is designed to help women who are experiencing the side effects of cancer treatment, such as dry skin and hair loss, learn beauty techniques to help enhance their appearance and self-image during chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
The Look Good...Feel Better group will meet on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at the Monticello Cancer Center, located at 1001 Hart Boulevard, Suite 50, Monticello, MN 55362. The program is free of charge. Class size is limited. Call 1.800.227.2345 to register to attend this program.
