Emergency Care
The Emergency Department at New River Medical Center is equipped to handle illness and injury 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As a Level IV Trauma center, we are proud to provide high quality emergency care to our adult and pediatric patients. When you need immediate medical attention, you can count on:
  • Specially trained physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and nurses dedicated to emergency care.
  • An average of less than 25 minutes that patients wait before being seen by a physician or care provider.
  • A physician Hospitalist who directs the care of patients who are admitted to the hospital.
  • A registered nurse dedicated to trauma care.
  • InstyMeds 24-hour automated pharmacy for common emergency room prescriptions.
  • An Advanced Life Support ambulance service to provide quality paramedic and EMT support at the scene of accidents and during patient transfers.
  • A helipad is also available on campus to provide emergency helicopter transport capabilities.
