Andrew Vaaler, MD
As the medical director of New River Medical Center's Sleep Center, Dr. Vaaler works with patients to diagnose sleep disorders and determine which sleep study is right for each individual. Dr. Vaaler is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine. He grew up in the Twin Cities and lives there with his family now. He loves music of all kinds, and plays the accordian whenever he can.
 
Amy Knopke-Mooney, MD
Dr. Knopke-Mooney is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2001. She thoroughly enjoys the breadth of experience that Sleep Medicine provides. Her biggest joy in medicine is helping to educate patients on ways to improve all aspects of their health. Outside of work she enjoys running, which includes chasing after her two kids. She also completed her first marathon in 2010.
Laurel Wills, MD, FAAP
Dr. Wills is board certified in General Pediatrics and Sub-Board certified in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. She is a graduate of Boston University Medical School and received her fellowship training at Children's Hospital in Boston. Dr. Wills has written several articles adressing sleep issues in children. She is also fluent in American Sign Language. Her dedication to promoting well-being in children includes her service as the State Medical Director for Reach Out and Read Minnesota, a state wide branch of the national pediatric literacy program.
Trisha Shamp, PA-C, Ph.D
Trisha Shamp graduated summa cum laude from Creighton University with a BS in Biochemistry and obtained her Masters in PA studies, and PhD in Pharmacology, from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.  Her goal is to incorporate a collaborative approach to care which involves continuously educatiing patients on their disease states and goals for care. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, visiting area tea rooms with her daughter, antiquing, boating, exercising and traveling.
