Dear Community Members,
It’s been a busy year at New River Medical Center. To promote our mission of providing patient-centered care that improves the health and well-being of our community, our strategic focus this year has been on growth, financial accountability and delivering excellent patient care.
One of the projects that we’re most proud of this past year is the opening of the Monticello Cancer Center - a partnership of New River Medical Center, North Memorial and CentraCare Health System. The Monticello Cancer Center opened in October to bring renowned medical oncology and radiation oncology care to patients in our communities. Patients choose Monticello Cancer Center for the excellent oncology care and state-of-the-art technology that are available in our calming, convenient location.
New River Medical Center also opened a new inpatient rehab unit to serve the rehabilitation needs of patients in our communities. This new unit provides early intensive therapies to help patients regain strength and independence. Rehab patients work with therapists to relearn skills that have been lost due to an injury or illness. Our patients are thankful for this new service as it allows them to stay close to their family and friends while receiving the rehabilitation care they need.
The growth and success we experienced this past year were made possible by fostering relationships with physicians, partnering with local and regional health providers and by maintaining financial viability. We believe each member of our organization is a steward of our financial resources. We’ve been pleased with the effort that each employee has contributed to help us deliver a positive bottom line in these tough economic times.
Investing in growth and ensuring financial viability allows us to continue to fulfill our mission of providing patient-centered care. With the support of our board members, physician partners, leadership, employees and community members, New River Medical Center will continue to prosper as the provider of choice for the health needs of our community.
